End of Product Life Cycle
Every product has a life cycle and at some point, reaches the end of its viability. Market requests, innovation, and maturation of newer and richer technology are reasons that products we know, and love reach the end of their life cycle. While this is very normal in technology-based products, NewTek understands those end-of-life milestones frequently prompt customers to assess how the end-of-sale and end-of-life policies impact NewTek products in use within their productions.
We have, therefore, laid out NewTek's End-of-Life Policy below to help customers manage their end-of-life transition and understand how we can help migrate to alternative NewTek-based solutions.
- Generally, NewTek will provide 90-days' notice to its reselling and channel partners of the affected products' end-of-sale date or the last day when the affected product can be ordered. Availability of products will be subject to on-hand inventory while supplies last.
- The end-of-life (EOL) date will be effective two-years from the end-of-sale (EOS) date. Once the EOL date is reached, a product will be considered obsolete. Once obsolete, the product is not sold, manufactured, improved, repaired, maintained, or supported. Cameras that include three- year warranties will be honored in accordance with their limited hardware warranty up to the end of their valid warranty period.
- Access to NewTek Support and customer assistance resources will be available as outlined in the support program tier for which the customer is enrolled for a period of two-years from the end-of-sale date for hardware-based products and up to three-years from the end-of-sale date for cameras.
- Customers will need to ensure they are enrolled in a current and fully paid support tier with NewTek for continued support after EOS date is passed.
- Extended warranty and support plans can be purchased up to 1 calendar month prior to planned end-of-life dates. Please contact your NewTek Sales Representative for details on a per product basis.
- Spares or replacement parts for hardware will be available for a period of two-years from the end-of-sale date. We will provide spares and replacement parts through the Authorized Parts and Repair program following our Limited Hardware Warranty and Return Materials Authorization process.
- Products that have reached their EOL dates may still be viable for promotional trade-in programs NewTek offers from time to time. Please contact your NewTek Sales Representative regarding current trade-in programs.
