Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) Studio, a free and open source software for video recording and live streaming used by millions, now has available a plugin for NewTek NDI® input and output. OBS Studio is among the most popular choices on social media sharing services for gamers, including Twitch.TV, the world’s leading social video platform and community for gamers and the creative arts. OBS Studio is also supported by many popular game capture devices.
NDI is a royalty-free IP technology for bi-directional transport of audio, video and application communications that has been integrated into hundreds of products and is now in the hands of millions of users worldwide. OBS Studio can share video and audio between any NDI-enabled product present on the local area network in real time. NDI provides resolution independent video transport on standard 1Gb Ethernet networks, unlike most other IP media transport standards.
